		Client profile: Financial organisation Project: Web development, network and infrastructure
		Requirement To create an on-line proposal and quotation system for the client, primarily for use by up to 2000 Independent Financial Advisors (IFA) who sell its products. This should enable the completion of documentation previously only available in manual form which in turn, should save time and money.   This system development was fully regulated by the Personal Investment Authority (PIA) – the web system had to ‘mirror’ the established manual processes and printed outputs.   A further requirement was to create a secure Internet connection for Head Office staff.   Solution A fully web-based system was created within the stringent criteria set out by the PIA. The system relies heavily on complex calculations and detailed rate tables. The potential turn-around time for an IFA to obtain a quotation and complete an application for his/her client, was reduced from up to one week to as little as ten minutes.   A secure Internet connection was implemented (with firewall) on a fully-managed basis.   JPCi have also provided a range of network file servers, cabling infrastructure, desktop support and mobile communications solutions for this customer.
